For me, plastic surgery is not just a series of operations, but a design discipline built on trust with scientific rigor and seeking "naturalness" in every detail. What I mean by doing my job well is respecting anatomy, treating tissue gently, avoiding excess, and bringing the patient's face or body closer to their best self, not to "someone else." This approach is central to my profession as well as other areas of my life: I carry the same care when learning, creating, writing, and observing.
I graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, English Medical Program in 2005. Then, between 2005 and 2011, I completed my specialization training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital. During this period, I received comprehensive training in microsurgery and hand surgery; I reinforced my understanding that detail, patience, and millimeter-precise calculations are not only a technical matter but also a matter of character. In January 2009, I completed a six-month internship focusing on facial aesthetics at The Facial Paralysis Institute in Los Angeles, USA; I learned to read more closely the subtle language the face uses through mimicry, balance, and expression. I prepared my specialization thesis on microvascular surgery because the world of blood vessels that give life to tissue was, for me, the most "vivid" metaphor of surgery.
I have been practicing as a Specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery since 2011. Over the years, I have developed a line that combines the intricacies of aesthetic surgery with scientific sensitivity, strong anatomical knowledge, and an artistic perspective. In 2018, I received advanced training in the High SMAS facelift technique with Dr. Timothy Marten in the USA; because for me, a good result is not "tighter," but "more accurate"—respectful of tissue planes, measured, balanced, and long-term. A significant milestone that further deepened my clinical approach was my doctoral degree in Genetics and Bioengineering at Yeditepe University, in the field of stem cells and exosomes. This training added the dimension of regenerative medicine and cellular therapies to my aesthetic plastic surgery perspective. While integrating this knowledge, centered on tissue regeneration, facial rejuvenation, and the biology of aging, into my clinical practice, I aim for an approach that is in line with current science, taking into account not only "what is visible" but also the quality and behavior of the tissue over time. Therefore, I closely follow developments in the fields of aesthetic surgery, anti-aging, and medical aesthetics at national and international levels; I consider scientific and clinical production as part of my professional responsibility. My memberships in ISAPS and the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery are a natural extension of this understanding of solidarity and knowledge sharing.
Besides my profession, I enjoy reading the concept of aesthetics from within life itself. My interest in philosophy, history, and gastronomy helps me to consider aesthetics not just as a technical result, but also in conjunction with human perception, culture, and meaning. Photography is both my hobby and my creative expression: observing light, form, and proportion keeps my design sensitivity in the clinic constantly alive. My first book, "A World Without Filters is Possible," published by Doğan Publications in 2024, transformed my reflections on aesthetics, perception, and the modern idea of beauty into a literary journey. My second book, "Wrinkles and Fragility," is complete; it will be available to readers in the first months of 2026. I aim to continue my multifaceted perspective, blending science, aesthetics, and philosophy, this time on a deeper literary ground.
